The Department of Mass Communication at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, recently organized an educational visit to the Amar Ujala printing press. This insightful trip was aimed at providing students with practical exposure to the print media industry and deepening their understanding of newspaper production processes.

Visit to Amar Ujala:

During the visit, students witnessed the various stages of newspaper printing β€” from editing and page-making to plate-making and final printing. The technical staff at Amar Ujala explained the functioning of advanced printing machines and the workflow involved in publishing a daily newspaper. Students also interacted with editorial and production teams, gaining valuable insights into journalistic ethics, deadlines, and content verification.

Faculty members accompanying the students highlighted the importance of such field visits in bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practices. The visit proved to be an enriching experience, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among aspiring journalists.
