The PUBG Mobile
The PUBG Mobile World Cup Tournament 2025, one of the biggest international mobile gaming tournaments, is currently being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 25 to August 3, as part of the larger Esports World Cup. Featuring 24 elite teams from across the globe, the tournament boasts a whopping $3 million (₹25 crore) prize pool.
India was represented in this event by team AxTMG , members consisting of Aryan , Vishnu , Syrax , Devoote and Hitler . These five players qualified by winning the BGMI Pro Series 2025, earning India’s spot at PMWC. Placed in Group Red during the initial Group Stage, they faced tough competition from world-class teams like Weibo Gaming, Alter Ego Ares, and Team Falcons. Despite putting up a good fight and scoring a Chicken Dinner, they were placed in 15th place with 66 points missing to have a direct Qualification to the Grand finals.
Upon entering the Survival Stage, where the remaining 16 teams battled for the final 8 spots in the Grand Finals. Unfortunately, AxTMG finished in 14th place with 37 points, leading to their elimination from the tournament. However after the loss, the team took home the prize money of $38,500 (₹33.8 lakh) along with gaining valuable international experiences in the field of gaming.
The grand finale is set to be happening on August 1 to 3, where 16 of the best teams will fight for the championship. Matches will be streamed live on PUBG Mobile Esports’ YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook channels.
